Basic Channels from 70+ to 24 Can't Post

ok recent experience with Charter cut off service because "they" lost receipt for cable box. Wanted to bill me over $300 for the missing box, shut off service took receipt for the turned inbox. Argued to have to cut highspeed internet back on same day since "their mistake" and after an hour I had a guy hooking it back up of course after 5pm. Well previously we were able to split off the highspeed internet coax in the house (900mhz) splitter and get some 70+ basic cable channels and now I can only get 24 before snow and nothing internally inside the house has changed. Any suggestions on how to get my channels back?
thanks.

sounds like a standard trap. its a cyclinder at the tap (outside box) that blocks out frequencys enabling you too see channels over 24

Is there a way around the trap? -- Short of climbing a telephone pole or breaking into the neighborhood cable box.
