CABLE TRUTH Can't Post

Everyone who reads this, I want you to know something the feds don't want you to know. Subscribe to cable? You are being watched. Cable tv is a two-way infrastucture. Signals are sent to the customer, and signals are sent from customer to cable company. That little infrared square on your set that senses remote signals is also a black and white video receiver, also known as a "pinhole camera". Whenever the set is on and you are in eyeshot of the infrared sensor, anyone at the company can at any time receive this video feed and monitor it. It is sent back through the coaxial cable to equipment at the cable co. Sound crazy? I thought so as well, until all my neighbors knew of my private business, stuff they couldn't possibly have known. I figured it out when a distant friend tipped me off by the things said to me, a person I worked with whom I can trust. Just thought you should know.

Tongue You can keep laughing but it's TRUE!. I have informed this matter even before plasma tv was introduced in consumer public. if you have HDTV monitor and subscription, You may not well aware with it but you are being monitored but check this out though:> ONLY WHEN YOUR TV IS ON!. This should be a discreet information. Safety purposes!

Re: [Guest] CABLE TRUTH [In reply to] Can't Post

And Why would Cable Want to Monitor You??? Where is the hidden camera??? Come on man grow up, I work for the cable complany, you are just plain paranoid and crazy you need to seek some serious help, if you think any cable company is outfitting cameras in Cable boxes and recording you. 1st off it dont make any sense, why would they do this to anybody, second the who and how would anybody view the tape, third, Where do you suppose we store the data from these boxes from millions of people that is recorded everyday. Its just plain crazy, You would've done a lot better if you would have said that you have Internet thru your cable company and they read your emails, Yes I'm sure there is a way to monitor your private emails, but A recording device inside a cable box???? Half the time PPV movie cannot be send or ordered thru the box because of glitches you think a mainstream movie could, And whats this story about Plamsa what does that have to with anything, Why would they not monitor you if your TV is off, the box is the one that supposedly is recording.

Be aware that I'm forwarding this to all cable companies we will find you and silence you because you uncovered a major conspiracy that leads all the way to the TOP!!!!! LOLOLOL

Re: [Guest] CABLE TRUTH [In reply to] Can't Post

what company your working for? VOOM, COMCAST? This is in reference to HIGH DEFINITION subscribers only. I don't think that would be imperative you should be fully in-service thoroughly what services and purposes that might be.

That intent public or private is for security purposes. Under any circumstances: You are watching while you are being watched, unless Your routine is suspicious that you will be given time your moment while you might be under observation (on recording? yet not necessary).
Your third question captured most of my attention and I prefer logic perhaps it answers your skepticsm: there's no how's and why's in this generation. DATA STORAGE? Remember when you were listening LP's, Compact disc came along right? despite the unbeleivable size it stores more data more than an LP can. but that wasn't good enough! MINI disc came along. Again, despite the size, it stores more than size of a CD. Same thing happened in VIDEO! despite the size, from VIEWMASTER all the way to DVD recording and again! a DISC size of the mini disc was on press release working it's progressive introduction approaching it's way to the public.

Let me ask you a simple question? where have you been?

Oh don't be so serious! I have high definition serviced myself and if I am being monitored having sex Im glad somebody's watching, aint no big deal to me! they can watch!

HDTV world besides it's slim appearances offers truly abundant future usages. Limitless, Upgradable as they say! think of all things possible, you're staring at it now.

I didn't say in any way of how things can be done in that process. There were no specifics, HDTV signal is the mainstream.

As far as privacy is concerned. I don't think that would be your utmost concern at this moment. If anybody in their right mind of doing so to anyone. It's not YOU has the problem. It's behind the chair who's watching and how they perceive what they wanna see.

Re: [Guest] CABLE TRUTH [In reply to] Can't Post

Now you totally lost me, Are you taking any drugs??? Are you on Something?????

Here is part of what you originally wrote??

That little infrared square on your set that senses remote signals is also a black and white video receiver, also known as a "pinhole camera". Whenever the set is on and you are in eyeshot of the infrared sensor, anyone at the company can at any time receive this video feed and monitor it.

So what the hell are you talking about slim HDTV's for??? That has nothing to do with what you wrote up there. Besides If cable card is one way device and you cannot send anything from you TV to the cable company how can that "pinhole" camera send video???? You completely lost your mind, I was calling you crazy before, thinking that maybe you were talking about Cable Boxes that Cable Company gives you and those have Cameras, but now you talking about HDTV's having cameras inside, You must be a crackhead!!!!!

The software on my telewest box is slow and crashes frequently. This suggests that the box isn't exactly 'advanced' enough to start gathering information about me!!

Re: [Guest] CABLE TRUTH [In reply to] Can't Post

if you notice, I am the 3rd above next to you who "second the motion" from the SUBJECT. I have no idea who wrote/open that subject but I know it's TRUE.

I didn't wrote the subject so I have no right no conclusion to your accusation.

however you wrote:"Besides If cable card is one way device and you cannot send anything from you TV to the cable company how can that "pinhole" camera send video????

The answer to your question is: HDTV provider controls what you view, and how you view it! You don't need an access card to view HDTV materials. In fact, they have their own HDTV box to rent it to you when you subscribe one. If you do decide to purchase on your own other than their own, then you need to ask permission to register that BOX of your choice to your HDTV provider. You can't just go buy an HDTV tuner and hook it to your monitor although you have HDTV signal on your cable> which part didn't you understand?

sincerely,
leo

Re: [Guest] CABLE TRUTH [In reply to] Can't Post

Ok let me try to help here, In the USA I have worked for many cable system providers over the past 21 years and have worked from the Headend to the TV set.

Is the cable system 2 way? Yes many are.

Is it possible for a device to be set up in the customers home to send video and audio back over the cable for any one on the system to view? Yes

Is this hard to do? No

Is this legal to do? Only with a court ordered wire tap from a federal judge.

Have I ever seen this done? No

It is much easier to tap a phone and point a listening device out side your home pointed at a window. It is easier to set up spy cams with short range transmitters to be picked up by a remote local location.

Dose any one really care what you are doing in your home? Not unless you work for a terrorist organization or you are from mars.

If you think that you are being watched through your cable box take it to a repair chop and have them open it up and check it out to see if there is any thin in there watching you. Then when they tell you there is not I would go and see a professional about paranoia.

Oh by the way cable systems and broadcast stations are collecting info from some cable boxes and HDTV systems, info like what channel you are tuned to and what programming you are watching. They can now send advertising out to target market groups by what you watch using your cable box or HDTV unit id. This was on CNN last week.

So in closing can it be done? Yes.

Dose any one want to see you eating chips in your boxer shorts picking your nose while you are watching the star track? Not Likely.
