Hi there, yes ntl have caught on to the chipping business, They are soon to be launching a new digital network which is more advanced then before. the current chipped boxes are usualy disabled once or twice a week. It is possible to get the boxes re chipped, simply by re-formating the smartcard in the box, but this will only work until they next disable the boxes, then you have to re-fromat again.... There are new methods out tho. i am not fully knowledge on this yet, but i have a working one now. The new type of smartcards called "Roll-over cards" which when ntl disable the box, you simply remove the smartcard and then re-enter it. This resets the box and hey presto, its working again. I am not certain how these are work, but they do and its going to be the only way that you will be able to watch the chipped boxes from now on without them disabeling within a few days This is mostly due to the new digital system soon to be launched. Hope this is of help
