telewest pace box pin code locked.

My pace telewest box has been locked by my cousin's son. I know what the pin code is, but when I goto unlock settings it prompts me to contact customer services. Does anyone know how to reset the pin without me having to contact customer services as the box I am using is not the box telewest supplied.
