rsk410 ak02 projection television

I have an rsk410 sylvania projection tv. It started shutting itself off, but for awhile, we could turn it back on by remote or at the on/off button. Then it got to the point we had to hit the top of the tv to make it come back on, then even that didn't work and now it is totally dead. Any prior experience with this and is there a simple fix?
