How about a "Digital Media Recorder (DMR)" Forum? Can't Post

Hi.
I was thinking that a "Digital Media Recorder (DMR)" forum would be good. What is a DMR you ask?
For one exsample go here: http://www.rca.com/...588,PI700287,00.html? That is the one
I have.

A "DMR" or also known as a "PVR" Personal Video Recorder is a device that records TV programs from
from a built in tuner just like a VHS VCR, but it uses a Hard Drive to record to. They usually also come
with a DVD player or player/recorder. My PVR uses the Gemstar GUIDE+ for timed recording.

I, and many more people are having various technical problems with PVRs like this and could use
a forum to discuss them in.

Thank you.

Sounds like a reasonable request.

Hi.

I too think a DMR/PVR forum would be great. I have been looking into getting a DMR but unsure what my options are. I only have the basic cable set up since I do not watch a lot of TV. But I would like to be able to record programs from time to time. And I'd like to be able to connect it to my Mac to burn DVD's. Or if the DMR/DVD player/burner has a edit mode that will allow you to remove commercials. I currently have a RCA TV with Guide Plus and I'm guessing that the RCA DRS7000N will connect via coaxial...?... Any other suggestions..?...
