 As host for the successful syndicated series Blind Date, Roger Lodge has become the preeminent dating expert. Roger has lent his dating expertise to such popular publications as Mademoiselle, Glamour, Seventeen, Brills Content and Elle magazines, just to name a few. As Blind Date heads into Season #3 Roger will be offering his hilarious commentary as well as his famous dating do's and don'ts, which has helped Blind Date become America's #1 dating show.
This funny man's popularity began to rise in 1995, while guest hosting on E! Entertainment's Emmy Award winning "Talk Soup". Once America got a taste of Roger's quick wit, charm, and self-deprecating sense of humor, he was on his way! He went on to host his own segment known as "The Hollywood Buzz", on Paramount Television's "Hard Copy" from '95 to '96. Next, Roger hosted his own half-hour weekly show for the Sci-Fi Channel, entitled "Sci-Fi Vortex". Billed as the "Entertainment Tonight of Science Fiction", the show brought together some of the biggest names in Sci-Fi Entertainment for interviews, news and gossip.
Growing up in Southern California, Roger's childhood goals were to be a professional basketball player, a talk show host and an actor. Although you won't be seeing him on the NBA Hardwood, Roger is a sports trivia buff, who can rarely be stumped. His extreme knowledge of sports has garnered him air time on both ESPN and Fox Sports Net.
Roger's feature film debut was "The Fan" starring Robert DeNiro. His true passion is acting and this past year he appeared on the WB's "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," UPN's "The Parkers" and NBC's "Yes, Dear."
