Has anyone actually tried an online dating service? If so, why? Good experience or bad?

I would never do that, but I am still curious about other peoples experience.

Share plz. [tongue]

it's not scary..I am an attractive girl who has been on a few sites...haven't found anyone I am interested in but I met a lot of cool people..it's really not that different than meeting a stranger in a bar...you actually get to know more about them..Blush

Smile At first, the thought of meeting someone online was a bit nerve recking. I forbid myself to do what a lot of people where doing. But, I gave it a try, and you know, it is not as bad as you may have interpret. It's a great way to meet a stranger besides going to a bar, getting smacked faced and doing something you may regret. At least online your on your toes and you at least know the person on a more personal basis or if they are worthy of your time. It's not any different than meeting some stranger anywhere else. I have met a lot of nice people.

You said it's a gr8 way to meet a stranger...want to rephrase that?....people lie a lot online, i kno from experience. people say they look and act one way, but when you meet them they are completely different. I was lucky i didn't meet up wit some 40 year old guy, at least he didn' lie about his age, but he lied about his looks and how he acts. He was very rude. You don' know them that personally online cuz u can't know if they're telling u the truth. It's a lot different then meeting a stranger somewhere else cuz at least you can see the person and know who they are unlike online where you're not that sure....i'm not tryin' to be all "mom like" it's just that i've had a bad experience and i think it's just a bad idea.
