3 lnb Can't Post

Can I replace a broken 2 lnb with a 3 lnb without making any changes to the receiver set up or adjusting the dish? Don't need 3rd sat lead. only have two tv's. I've got a 3 lnb and would like to climb the ladder and swap out the physically broken 2 lnb if it's that easy. thanks for advice.

Re: [210glenn] 3 lnb [In reply to] Can't Post

A dual lnb is rare to have, but you can try a trible lnb.

Do you have a round dish or oval dish?

A single lnb for the main sat has dual coax lines for two tv's

The other lnb's have single coax lines coming out.

thanks for reply. not sure I posted question correctly.
current dish has dual heads, for lack of better word, with separate cable for each tv. new one friend gave me has 3 heads with I'm guessing would have 3 cable connections.
I beleive dish is round 18". it's only 5 months old from direct tv. hope this helps.thanks again glenn
