Can you use a Dish Network dish with DirectTV receiver? Can't Post
That's the question. Can a Dish Network dish be used with a Direct TV receiver? I will be traveling and have an old Dish Network dish but have recently switched to Direct TV and wondered if that could be my traveling set up. If not, any ideas on what dishes will work and where to buy?

NO, they use different lnbs.

can you use the round dish and buy a Direct TV LNB and still have it work?

Yes,but it usally cheaper to just buy the dish with the lnb.If the lnb dosen't line up right you will have problems.
