I have been a directv customer since 1998 and are very happy with them. I like the picture quality over my local cable service. I enjoy the large amount of sports on D*. Mrs N - I would be upset if they me made waste a whole day also. But what if you were the first person they saw that day and ran into problems. Would you want them to continue your installation or stop and leave for the next job ,so that person didn't have to wait ? With the new HD channels being added this month, I'm sure it is also their busiest month for installation, especially on Saturdays. If they didn't show up at all- call D* and tell them that they failed to show and ask for compensation. They will give HBO or Showtime free for a month or longer. Remember that once your receiver is activated you are in a contract ( 1 year for receivers,2years for dvr ) so make sure you will be happy with D* before calling for installation again.
