I've had Direct TV for only a month now and it is the biggest steaming pile of crap I have ever seen. First off the day they were suppose to install it they were coming between 8am-noon (lulz). My moms aunt died a few days before and the funeral was the next day so we had a lot of stuff to do and couldn't sit around for them all day. So when they did finally show up at around 6pm only one person was home. One guy was setting up the dish one guy was installing the boxes. Now that there was only one person home they weren't able to watch both guys (not that we don't trust them or think they would steal anything) but the guy installing the boxes moved one of the $1,200 TV stand/dresser in one of the rooms and ripped the back leg right off of it! Nice. We didn't figure that one out till after they left. Anyways 3 hours later they were "done". The HD channels never worked from the start. Soon after I found out that when you record something you can't even change the channel. So we call Direct TV, they schedule someone to come out in a few days to look at it between 8am-noon. No one shows up. We call them again. Schedule another time for them to come out. No one shows up. We call them back ask them why no one showed up they said they had no record of it, OK. Call them again. Finally someone shows up! And it only took almost a month for someone to get here. Anyways I wasn't there so I'm not sure but I'm guessing he was like some kind of tech guy or something not an installer. Anyways he says they didn't hook it up right and it's the worst job he ever seen. They just put the satellite up and hooked the stuff up to the old time warner stuff ( I think they have to rewire everything?). They also didn't hook up the 2nd lines going to the box. So they are coming tomorrow to fix it. *crosses fingers* But the main reason we got Direct TV anyways was for the NFL Ticket and today is the first game of the season and guess what. It's been raining all day (not thunderstorms, not even hard rain, just some clouds and drizzle) and the TV has been losing signal to the satellite. Now it's not working at ALL. So we miss the first game of the season, yay! Best part is it's suppose to thunderstorm on Sunday. Why am I paying $75 for NFL Ticket when I can't see all 16 games anyways? I won't be able to see any! I would have gotten better signal from a freaking TV antenna. Matter of fact I should go buy one. That would look nice sitting on top of my HDTV. It's kind of sad though but that would work better then the big satellite dish I have sitting outside anyways. The worst part of it all is they send us the freaking bill for the first month one week after they "installed" it. They have the balls to charge us and send us the bill for it when they haven't even installed it right and even have it working yet. I think were very close to taking all the boxes and have them ready to take with them IF they even show up tomorrow and tell them to shove them right up their asses.
