Here is the case I have 2 hd direct tv units at my house but I was wondering if I could use the 3rd D12-300 unit im still paying rent on which is sitting around at my fathers nursing home room which is about 30 miles away. He already has a direct tv dish up from the previous tenant?

I do not understand what you are asking . Do you want to take away the receiver from your father and use it in your house ? What about your father, what would he use ?

What do you mean by paying " rent " on the D12 ?
