Dual LNB set up question Can't Post

I have an oval dual LNB Dircet Dish, however, I do not have the piece that holds the two seperate LNB's on the mast pointing at the dish. Where can I get this part? Any idea of the cost? Lastly.. Is it possible to attach just one of the LNB's to the mast and still get a picture wit hthe oval dish, or will this method not work due to improper alignment?

Thanks in advance for any help here.

Re: [TANK1] Dual LNB set up question [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks Tank1. I just viewed them but did not see just the small adapter (yoke)the held both LNB's (one machine screw for each LNB) then inserted into the aiming arm pointed towards the dish with a screw the same as that used to mount the LNB. I hope that I am explaining clearly. Do you know if I can just connect the one LNB and still get reception with an oval dish if the LNB is mounted directly to the aiming arm rather than offset a bit to the side as would be the case with both LNB's connected?

When you say both lnb's - are you talking about the new 5 lnb sat dish for Hd ?
Like in this photo http://www.sadoun.com/...V-AT9-Ku-Ka-Dish.htm

I think what you are looking for the arm the lnbs are connected to isn't sold separately.
If you are only trying to get basic channels from the main sat at 101, then yes you can probably make it work. If you have the new 5 lnb HD sat dish then chances are no it will not work.

Try calling your local installer and asking for the parts ( or even the dish- he may have a used one from a job where he installed the new 5lnb HD dish ) or if it is older dish - check your local papers for whole dish or flea markets for it.

If have been with Directv for over a year try calling them for a replacement dish for free . If no luck and you are not under a committment to D* , call and ask for customer retention dept. They make decisions and can get your sat dish fixed at no cost.

Helps to mention DISH will give a free dish if you switch or cable sent you an offer in the mail.

Thanks tank1.

I am not looking for the 5 lnb set up. just the mounting part that you described. as for basic channels on 101, these would be the 100 or so channels I currently get correct?
I will check with an installer for the part.

All national non hd channels are on the 101. Everything a sub with a round dish would get.
