Fox News Channel Can't Post

Have a very strange problem with Fox News Channel and other channels that are on the same transponder.

At about 5:30 in the evening PDT cannot get a signal or if there is a signal it is very pixelated (unwatchable). I have another direct tv receiver and on that receiver FNC is coming in fine.

By 9 pm the problem has gone away. This happens every evening. I have done the unplug etc.

No success. Any ideas would be appreciated? Thanks

If you are watching tv before 530pdt and this starts. Is the receiver heating up and getting too hot.Is it well vented?

If you start watching at 530pdt is fox the only channel this happens? If it happens onother channels,it could be a bad connection of the coax, bad switch, moisture in the f connector.

Try a hard reboot before you to bed.Unhook the sat-in cable on the back, the phone jack and unplug over night. The next day hook up the sat-in,and plug it in without the phone line hooked up.See what happens. If no problems hook up the phone line.

Switch receivers to see if the problem is in the receiver or the sat cables.Since there are no problems in the other room use that receiver. If the picture breaks up with the new receiver than work out to the sat dish.

I have the same problem. When I check the signal strength, it is much lower for this transponder. However, I have the same problem on 3 of 4 receivers in my home. It is worse in the mid afternoon here in Missouri.
