Free PPV on Direct TV Can't Post
I really hate to be the one to try and discuss a topic that has prolly been beaten to death already. but please humor me. If I were to unplug my phone line from the Direct TV Reciever, and then order a PPV and left the receiver unplugged, would the PPV Charge appear on my next Bill?!?! If this would work, what steps can you do / or how long does it take for the direct TV Reciever to release any memory it has of ordered PPVs? Is it something as simple as disconnecting the power source from the reciever over night?!? Sly

The info travels on the phone line.So when you reconnected the phone line the sat phones in the purchases.

Yes, I figured that much, but what would have to be done in order to cause the "sat" to lose memory for the purcahse? I guess what I am trying to refrence the concept to is this, if you have a cable modem and unplug the power source, after a few minutes the cabel modem will lose all stored power, and release the IP address (if it was storing the IP.). Can this concept applie with the "sat"?!?!

The ppv info is stored on the access card until the phone connection emptys it off the card.

A limit is set on the card so only a certain number of ppv"s can be added without a phone dump.

Hmmm, I guess that does make sense. Well, lol it was an idea, and clearly if you run up the card, and turn the equipment back in you'll be charged at that time for all the PPVs. Hmmm
