HD TV Can't Post
I just installed the new 5LNB dish and everything is working fine. I have a Sony SAT-HD100 High Def reciever. It is 4 years old. Will it receive all the HD signals form DTV. I have the HD package and I receive channels 75 thru 79 and 95. How do I receive Discovery channel in HD.

You need a new HD receiver that is MPEG4 ready to get the new hd channels.
Models H20 or H21 for Hd receiver.
Model HR20-700 of Hr21-600 for HD dvr receivers.

Those old hd receivers are being replaced by Directv,call them and see kind of a deal you can get or just buy one on the internet or Best buy.

Called Direct TV and they upgraded me to the new box for free. They want my old one though.

How long ago did you get the box D* wants returned.

If it is older than 3+ years , it was mostly purchased and you own it. Any newer and it was under lease and must be returned.

The box has no resale value.


But you could use it as a NON HD SAT BOX for any other non hd sets you own.

That is what the person at Dtv told me and we all know they know nothing. When the installer comes, I'll let him know I bought it and i'm sure he'll say keep it or throw it out. I'm sure it's useless to them.
