HD question Can't Post

Just a quick question about signal (HD more specifically). Are there any factors other than the signal strength that could cause a worse picture? I'm asking because my HD just doesn't look as HD as it should. I'm not sure if this is due to the Direct TV (I'm new to the service) or because of my extender coax cables (the originals were too short). I had Comcast before and the HD looked a little better. The Comcast line came right into the set (no splitters or nothing). Any input is appreciated.

Direct requires RG6 coax cable ( cable uses RG56 ?) from the sat dish to the receiver. There can be no splitters or extenders in between ( this is probably your problem ).

If you need more than 4 coax cables from the sat dish you use an approved multi-switch.
