Help needed: HDTV Direct TV	Can't Post

Hello.

I have an existing HD Direct TV receiver. In addition I have 2 non-HD receivers. I was thinking of replacing one of the non-HD receiver with a HD receiver.

Now come the questions:
1. Can I purchase an HDTV receiver from Ebay and plug it in?
2. Will I have to buy a new access card?
3. Will I have to communicate with Direct Tv?

Any other alternative solutions--

No you still need to get a new access card from D* and call for them to activate the card.

2. Will I have to buy a new access card?
Yes if you buy a used HD receiver off e-bay. But not if you buy a new receiver from Best Buy ,Circuit City etc

3. Will I have to communicate with Direct Tv?
Yes you must communicate with D*. You might be able to activate the NEW receiver bought from BB,CC etc online at the D* website.
