How many DTV receivers allowed on 1 acct? Can't Post

I have 9 receivers on my acct...but only 2 are HD...I'd like to start replacing the old D10 receivers with HD units...is there a limit as to how many receivers DTV allows me and is there a limit to the # of HD reveivers I have?

No set limit on the number of receivers that I am aware of. But anymore than 8 does raise a red flag, they might require a installer to add the multiswitch that is required. Just to check that all the receivers are located at the service address .

But if you already have 9 and swap them out for HD receivers , I doubt you will have a problem.

Thanks for the info...I kinda figured there shouldn't be an issue with updating my receivers as they're pushing HD all the time anyway...what difference does one or 10 matter if the account is always up to date...

One problem was loss of $$ because -
Bar owners problems with NFL Sunday Ticket , they have cases of bar owners adding receivers to their home accounts and then using the receivers at the bar to avoid paying the commercial fee for the NFL ST.

The other is a family divides the receiver's up to different locations. So instead of 2,3 or 4 accounts D* was only getting the extra receiver fee instead of the full account fees.

Remember those D10's if under lease will have to be returned , and the HD receivers or HD DVR require new leases ( 1-2 yrs ).
