I switched my local channels and need to know what sat	Can't Post

I switched my local channells and I need to know how to switch my sat direction. I live in east tennessee and switched my local channells to New Orleans and now i need to know where to point my sat any help. The numbers I get from the new zip should not work becouse I didnt physically move the dish? so does anyone know how to do this?

You don't point or move the sat dish.

You can't just pick any city and decide to "move" there.

Local channels are on spot beams from the sat in the sky.

Think of the local sat signal as flashlight beam over that city.It only covers a certain area and if you are in that area you can recieve that signal.

The rest of the channels are on a CONUS beam (it covers the whole USA),so everyone get recieve that sat signal.

Since you are out of the New Orleans spot beam area in east TN you can't get New Orleans local channels.

This is a old out of date map of spot beams for local channels.It shows different coverage areas for each spot beam.

i AM NOT WRONG You are still in area covered by that sat beam,a sat beam coverage can cover different states because they use different transponders from that certain beam for different local channels.
