Im new here Can't Post

I just want to start by saying Im new here,Im from Cincinnati Ohio ,I just got hooked up yesterday with direct,I get premium channels for 3 months at a good rate then I have to choose a package,I do not have hdtv.
My picture dont seem to have as good a clarity as did my cable ,also sound dont seem as good.

Is there anything I can do to make it better,

What about running 3 the colored wires (red, yellow, white) from input 2 of my tv to the dvr satellite box ,will this help?

Thanks

Allan

The best picture to a NON HD tv use the s-video connection from the Directv sat box to your set and run the red and white cables for sound.

If your new box is D12 you have a s-video connection. You might have to buy a s-video cable to connect it .

http://www.monoprice.com/...&keyword=s-video

Until then use the yelow for video and red + white for audio and connect all 3 the cables.

When get a s- video cable just unhook the yellow cable ( leave the red and white connected ) and connect the s-video

I can't read your last post .

S-video is the best video connection you have with that D* receiver.
The yellow single cable is next and the simple black coax from the receiver to the tv is the worst.
