Interference out of speakers connected to my TiVo Can't Post

I am getting a bad whistling, interference sound out of my speakers when i watch TV or a saved TiVo program.

Direct TV suggested sending audio from the TiVo to the TV, then the receiver connects to the audio outputs coming from the TV, but this doesnt eliminate the sound. PLUS now my TV's built in receiver overrides the way the Bose tuner works

any suggestions as to why i am getting this feedback sound from my speakers just when i watch tv. DVD< VCR, CD's all sound awesome, but not TV.

Please help..,.or offer suggestions.

Thanks

Try swapping your cables.Take cables you use for the CD which you know works and connect them to tivo. That's if your tivo is connected with two rca cables and a toslink.

Try connecting the tivo to the cd imput of your tuner, the idea is first to check the cables for a bad one. Then check the input of the tuner by connecting to a imput you know has no problems.
