Or should I say lack there of. I signed up for Direct TV a little over 1 month ago. When I signed up the system told me a tech would be calling me to set up my installation date. 3 Days later I finally spoke with someone about this. I was told the tech would be at my house 1 week from that coming saturday. I would need to wait 2 weeks. This was because I had signed up for HD and was a VIP installation. This means they would put the dish on a pole ( At my request ) bury the drop, fish walls. I made it very clear I wanted the dish on a pole. 2 weeks later ( 2 weeks ago now ) I waited all day, to find out, i was what they call a no call - no show. The following Monday I spoke with Direct TV. They gave me a good apology and a song. They once again set my installation date. Again I would need to wait 2 weeks. We spoke in great detail about the VIP installation, and the pole. They assured me this would be taken care of, to call them if i was unsatisfied while the tech was still at my house. Today was the big day. At 3:00 PM the tech showed. NO POLE! ( Even though the order he had clearly stated pole installation, bring pole ) he said his foreman told him to check it out and call him when he was here. The foreman after speaking with the tech, told me they could not install my dish, that even though it said i had a VIP installation I would need to pay for a custom install, and they would need to get a pole. They would be able to do the install at the end of next week. I called Direct TV ( like they told me too). At first they agreed i would need to pay extra, when I asked to speak to a manager, they came back and said I was correct, the pole was included in a vip, and they should have brought one. I could at that time set up another date to install. Are you kidding, why would I do that. I have 4 people that where going to change over to direct tv with me. NOT NOW. Now every person I speak with will know that Direct TV and it's installation company does NOT want our business. I find it hard to believe they could have such a poor installation company and NO customer service.
