Hi. I'm new to Direct TV and had to standard receivers install this week. It was my impression that I could not use my previous Series 2 Tivo with Direct TV, but now I'm starting to think I may be wrong. I've order an upgrade to the DVR receiver and they will be coming early next month to install it.
To clarify, my Tivo is hooked up and working, but I can't record something and watch another show at the same time - which is what I want to do.
Can I have the Direct TV tech hook up my Series 2 Tivo instead of the new DVR receiver? Any information on my options here would be greatly appreciated.
