New Direct DVR question Can't Post

I just got a new Direct DVR, and i see it had 2 satellite inputs on the back. My problem is that I only have one cable running to my TV. Is it possible to buy a multi switch from somewhere, and from that cable, run two cables out to my DVR?

You need two coax cables from the sat dish .

You might just need to run another coax cable from the sat dish to the dvr.
A multiswitch is used to take 4 from the sat dish and give you 8 to the receivers or with the old round sat dishs make 2 from sat dish-4 to the receivers.

A multiswitch should work, but it is proably cheaper to just run another coax from the sat dish

I have seen multiswitchs on ebay for less than $20. If that would work, it would be much easier than running another cable, and cheaper.

If your dvr is HD those will not work.

If you only have a single coax cable from the sat dish it proably will not work.
