When these new satellites are put into service, will they replace the existing Ku satellites or will there be 7 total? Will they be Ka band? Will a new and different dish be required?

New HD channels using MPEG4 will go live on the air next month ( Sept ).

You will need a 5 lnb sat dish and receivers/dvr that are MPEG 4 compatible to receive them.

HD channels already being broadcast nationally will still be accessible with the old 3 lnb sat dish and non MPEG 4 receivers/dvr for awhile.
