Ordering Movies at a Second Location on my system Can't Post

Hi,
I just installed a new box and dish at my vacation house, 150 miles from my registered location and it works great. When I called to have the card activated, I said that this box, the third box, was going in the den. So, this is considered the den location. I didn't hook up a phone line to the box and I don't have either box at home connected to the phone.
So now I want to try to get a pay-per-view movie sent to the "den" box. Will DirectTV be able to tell that the "den" box is 150 miles away if I order a movie?

You are not supposed to be able to order a ppv movie from a receiver without a phone line connected.

Some receivers will work without a phone line BUT you are playing with fire if Directv finds out. They will charge you for a second account for the other location . So what ever program package you have at home would be charged as a 2nd account to vacation home. ( If your bill is $50 month, a second account at $50 month would charged for every month since activation of "den" receiver. So if Directv catches you 6 months later , that ppv just cost you 6 months X $50 in addition to the money you spent for those 6 months on your regular bill )

You can order ppv movies on line . So either order online or skip the ppv at the vacation home.

Yes, I planned to order PPV online if I do it at all. I don't have any phone lines hooked up to the DTV boxes. Right now I'm thrilled to have real TV channels at the house. Ever since I built it I've only had one CBS channel with a pretty bad picture. This is really a big move into the new century but it sounds like a pretty big risk to order a PPV up there so for now I'll just be happy with what I have.
Thank you

Yes I wouldn't risk it for a ppv.

You should not have any problems , but remember do not call for a service call and give your vaction address.

Enjoy your vaction home and directv.
