Programming DTV Remote to Orion TV

Direct TV has sent 2 universal Direct TV remotes to me but they still can't program them to my Orion TV combo DVD and VHS tape player.
The Technical Dept. has given up saying that they don't guarantee remotes to work.
Does anyone have Orion TV, DVD, VHS Tape Combo codes that were successful in installing / programming DTV remote to tV ?
