RSN Questions Can't Post

I spoke to Direct Tv and was told I could get NESN with the sports pack. I live in Detroit Metro and was wondering if anyone could confirm this for me.

You would get NESN with the sports pak BUT you would be blacked out of all professional sports .

Only college and some other sports programs could be viewed.

Also rebroadcasts of Red Sox ,Bruins, and Celtic games would also be blacked out.

OK so the only way to watch the Red Sox (in detroit) would be with the MLB extra innings? Also if I get Direct Tv HD and I also get extra innings would those stations be in HD?
Thank You

Even if the local RSN shows the game in HD Directv only has one or two games from MLB EI in HD on one of it's HD channels. Channel 95 I think.

Hopefully with the two new sats going to space in 2007 all HD games will televised in HD in 2008.

But you will get the Red Sox on MLBEI in Detroit.
