Record to VCR from Direct receiver	Can't Post

Good morning
My set up is OK, but I haven't found an easy way to directly record from the Direct receiver to the VCR without just playing the show and setting up the VCR - any suggestions thanks

You use a vcr controller, it plugs into your Directv receiver and other end covers the remote control sensor on the vcr.
Then you would just go into the program guide and highlight a program to record.

It turns the receiver and vcr on the show starts and records it.
