Removing dish for hurricaine ? Can't Post

Hi, With Wilma on it's way I was wondering about removing my dish. It looks like only four nuts and no conections to undo would remove the dish part. Is this necessary ? Would this mess up my signal alingnment when reinstalled ? Any opinions would be helpful.

Thanks

Re: [scubabear] Removing dish for hurricaine ? [In reply to] Can't Post

I have lived in FL with Directv for the last 7 years.I have never removed my sat dish.

Unless your sat dish is on the very top of your roof, some part of your house should protect the dish.

To remove you have to disconnect the rg-6 cable from the lnb of the sat dish.

So you need to take apart the sat dish and not just remove from mounting post.
