Second dish Can't Post

I have two dishes, one at home, one at the boat dock. My problem is when I went to HD, I lost my east/west coast network feed. I did get east coast HD feed. All I have at the boat dock is the round dish, so I don't receive networks feeds there anymore. What are my solutions to get network feeds at the dock? If I have to get a bigger dish and receiver, which ones do I need.

Do you only have the HD reciever on your account ?

If not if you add a regular ( Non HD ) reciever to your account, they should give you the non hd east feeds also.

Directv said I couldn't have regular east coast feed. I have two HD receivers in my regular house. My new question, what dish and receiver I need to put HD in at dock. I only have on cable run to the boat, do I need another cable to use HD/DVR?

If you add a non hd receiver to your account they should give you the non hd east coast feeds ( in addition to the hd feeds you have now ) because the sd reciever can't give you hd.
A Hd dvr requires two coax cable feeds. You need the same dish as you have at your house .

Re: [TANK1] Second dish [In reply to] Can't Post

Directv has already told me that I can not receive SD east coast. If you know a way I can do it, please share. I have a Slim Line dish now with 2 little lnb's and 1 large. I don't want or get locals. If I get a Slim line with 5 lnbs from Ebay and install another coax to the boat, will that work and will I be able to record two signals or do I need to run 4 coax to the boat. What other equipment will I need except for the HD/DVR that I will get at Best Buy or where ever someone tells me is better. All help is appreciated

You need the slimeline HD sat dish , Hd Dvr and two coax cables from dish to Hd dvr.
You also need someone to install it, the slimeline cannot be installed without the proper equipment. You must use compression coax connectors, you need a electronic sat finder to find the sats and aim the dish.

Do you have any sd receivers on your account now ? If so you don't get any network feeds ( ABC,CBS,FOX or NBC ) ?

I have 2 sd receivers and I don't get network feeds. If I could that would solve all my problems. You say I can't align the HD dish like I do the SD dish? What equipment is needed to setup the HD dish?
