Stacker and Destacker question Can't Post

I am new to DTV and in need of some help. I recently moved into a new house prewired for cable with one cable wire coming in from outside to a Leviton home box then split into different rooms. I couldn't get cable service because we had no cable drop on our street (new street) so I went with DTV. The tech said he could only hook up one outlet for service since I only had one wire coming into the house from outside. If I want more than one receiver, he would need to drill holes. I didn't want him to drill since the house is new so he only hooked up one LNB to the cable wire and terminated the other. I really want to get DTV to one more room without drilling so I was looking into a stacker and destacker. My question is will this work in my situation? 1) Hook up both LNB to the stacker and output to single coax 2) Connect coax and destacker in the Leviton box 3) Hook up living room coax to one output and bedroom coax to the other 4) Buy another receiver and activate it with DTV. Is this plan going to work? If not, can someone show me the right way? Thanks in advance.

If your house was wired with rg-56 cable which is what cable companies use it will not work for satellite service in whole house run.Sat service requires rg-6 cable.

As for stacker/destacker I would try posting at www.dbsforums.com they have Directv csr's and installers who post a lot over there.

The big differences between the two sat is programing.

Directv has all the sports you can watch.Sports outside your local area is sold as

NFL Sunday Ticket

MLB

NBA

NHL

College football or basketball

NCAA basketball tourament

DISH has international programing.

AS for the DVR's I don't have any but from reading forums the Directv model has less problems.Your choice.

Not sure what you are calling a stacker however my house has 2 3LNB dishes, 1 HD receiver, 2 Tivo DVRs and 4 regular recievers all running off a multiplexer. One reciever is on 1 dish all the others are on the multiplexer. I was not happy with the ANTENNA feed into the multiplexer as I could not get good enouugh signal strength to all the sets so I opted to subscribe to local feeds. I do not remember exactly how the three LNB's tie together as I originaly had one 2 LNB dish that both fed into the multiplexer.

FYI although The dish companys say to use RG-6 cable the system WILL work with RG-58, which is the cable installation. I have personally done this with one receiver. RG-58 tends to have a little more loss so you need to keep the runs shorter and likely can run fewer drops.
