Thinking of switching to Direct TV but have a few issues to resolve first Can't Post

I am thinking of making the switch for several reasons.

First: the HD channel options for Comcast suck. I only get 7 channels in HD ABC,CBS,FOX,NBC,PBS,ESPN, & Discorvery. I can get 5 of those over the air so why should I pay Comcast for them?

Second: The NON HD channels have static and are fuzzy. I have called comcast several times and they have no way to fix it.

Third: Their Equipment sucks. I am on my 4th cable box in the last 2 years.

fourth: My HD programming sometimes gets choppy. The screen gets a bunch of blocks on it and the sound cuts out. This happens way too often

Now for my Dilema.
I have 1 Phillips HDTV in my Game room with xbox and xbox 360 hooked up to it. I have a PC running windows xp Professional with Media Portal and 2 TV tuners for recording live TV. I have a Hauppage PVR 150Tuner and an ATI E-Home Wonder Tuner in my PC. I currently have the PC hooked up to the HDTV through HDMI and I play back the recorded tv from the pc back to the Television.

I also have 2 other Televisions in other rooms in the house and in the future that could be increased to 4 additional tv's.

Do I need a box for each of my PC tuners? Also do you still need tuners in every room that has a tv?
I am afraid that with the additional charges for boxes for each tv it would cost more than cable.

I know that Its gonna cost me more anyway since Comcast charges more money for cable internet if you dont have Cable tv through them. Another attempt at holding the customer hostage (the main reason why I hate Comcast)

Is there anyone out there who have any suggestions for me?

Directv DVR's each have dual tuners,so that would reduce the number of sat boxes you need.

They charge a single fee of $4.99 for the dvr,and $4.99 additional receicer fee for 2nd-8th sat boxes.

I dont need a dvr since my pc is a set top box/dvr. So I dont want that item. I have 2 tuners built into my set top box already.

You cant use them as tuners for other tv's in other rooms can you?
