Two locations, one receiver Can't Post

Hi, this might be a stupid question but I currently live in Seattle, but live in NY for a big part of the year. I would like to be able to see Seattle channels in NY. If I subscribe to Directv in Seattle, would I be able to bring the reciever and card to NY to see Seattle local channels or would they change to NY local channels. Somehow I think this is a stupid question, but I don't know the answer. thanks

Re: [msakuma] Two locations, one receiver [In reply to] Can't Post

If you subscribe in Seattle and take your receiver to NY you will get all your channels EXCEPT the local nets(ABC,NBC,CBS,FOX,UPN,AND WB).They are on a spot beam system which covers a certain area and if move out of that arera you can't recieve the locals.

But if you subscribe in NY and go to Seattle you only lose UPN and WB channels.ABC,NBC,CBS and FOX are on conus which covers the whole USA.

The only two cities on conus are NY and LA.
