one recevier two dishes Can't Post
I have direct tv at home, but I also want to be able to have at my second home. I have the current dish at both locations. They are both within the same local area but different zip code. Can I use my receviers at both locations, and how to I aquire a signial that the second home. (The dish is not installed at the second home.)

When I try to get signal (at the second house) it says tuner failed!
The same recevier works at my first house. Please help.
Should I reset the whole tuner?

If install a sat dish and connect , plug in , but DO NOT CONNECT to the phone line, the receiver and Directv do not realize your receiver has left your house.

So you should get programming on your relocated receiver with a 2nd dish correctly installed.

Ido not have the phone line hooked up I still get that the tuner failed. The second dish is not professional installed. The lnbs are good.I am using the right cable. Are the newer dishes coded to only work with the installed dishes?

No they are not. Are you sure it pointed at the sat, what are you getting for signal strength?
