picture freezing up Can't Post

We have 1 dish with a dual lnb and 2 receivers set up. The channels in the living room work great, never freezing up. The tv in the other room however, will go through days where the picture is constantly freezing up showing just a frame then will move forward the the next frame while at the same time the other TV has no trouble. Our dish is clear of any obstructions. Direct TV has been no help. Why does only 1 tv do this and is there anything we can do to fix it? (the receiver that has the troubles is a year old while the living room one that works good is 2 yrs old). Thanks for any advice.

Try doing a Soft Reset by unplugging your receiver from the outlet for 30 seconds and also make sure the access card is in all the way then plug it back in and turn it on...Let it go through the download process and see if that works....You might also have a bad line from the dish to the receiver so you might want to check all the connections from the dish to receiver and also check to make sure there are no staples through the line..

yup, done all that in the past. Replaced the wires last fall. It doesn't do it all the time. Just puzzling why 1 TV has no troubles and the other will freeze up on the same channel. It's like when you're having a storm how the picture will freeze due to conditions. But it will freeze up even when it's clear. Very annoying. Thanks for the reply.

I have the same problem. One of three TVs will freeze, pixilate, slow motion. Signal strength is in the high 70s to low 80s or above. Do receivers get old or out of date?
