Atmega 128 Programmer Can't Post

I have a Atmega 128 with programmer (W-PROG-816-5V). I want to know which cable I need to connect the programmer to my lpt port. I have a modem calbe (25-pin male to 25-pin female) with a gender changer on the female end. I connect the 25-pin male to the lpt port and I connect the 25-pin gender changer to the programmer. The Atmega 128 shunt is set to prog. I use Jeepers 2.1 with program NAwapoM1.2, Netowrk Dish and Board ATmega128@18,000MHz. If I click on Atmel, then Atmega128, then Erase Flash/EEPROM to test it, I get a message "failed to enter program mode". If I disconnect the cable completely from the PC, I get the same message. I think I might have the wrong cable. When I call the company about it, they tell me use a straight-thru cable. I think the modem cable is straight-thru (it is not a NULL-MODEM cable). Can anyone shed some light.

Thanks,

Boys, the problem is not volt,atmega is where you have the file to flash your atmega.... .remember to jeepers work you need to get the configuration rigth,mean the ;
Name = NAwaC41j (11 Mhz) or what ever name you put to this file ,if you have all the information or configuration .ok!!! Know let said you have this file!!! so open jeepers,See look for file then preference open there and make sure ,in browse have where is file NAwaC41j (11 Mhz)this two files you open a folder a place then together.and go jeepers
