My Photos on 942 HD DVR

I just recieved and setup my dishplayer 942 hd dvr with dish network. Does anyone know how to use the My Photos function (under Multimedia) with this 942 box? I know it has the 2 usb ports, but I'm kinda scared to connect to them.
