Over Air HD on Dish811?	Can't Post

Hi,

I have a DISH811 HD Satellite receiver. However, I no longer have a Dish Satellite receiver or service. When I did have the service I was able to hook up an off air antenna and receive the local HD broadcasts on my HD TV. I would like to use the receiver just for the off air signals, but when I tried, I couldn't get past the set up on the receiver where it is looking for the satellite signals. Any ideas how I can make this work or do I have a useless HD receiver?

if the receiver was originally came with your subscription, that was your primary menu selection and permission to access the off air antenna as option. You can only use the receiver if you continue their service...or else! yes it's useless.
