Should I switch from cable to Dish netowrk? Can't Post

I currently have Optimum digital cable family plan. The total monthly price is about $60. I did some research and found out that I can get Dish Network with free dvr, Top 120 plus locals, HBO and Stars for just $59 per month for the first 2 years. My question is this: Does Dish Network have good quality? By this I mean does it work all anytime I turn it on, or does it stop working when there is rain outside of a bird sits on the dish?

yes

I switched because I was tired of cable outages. Tons of them in my area. I've never been happier. The signal is awesome! Much better resolution and clarity than cable has ever been able to provide. Sure, I've seen an outage where a storm took the signal away for a couple of minutes, but that's better than a 24 hour outage due to the same storm on cable. I've also compared it to "digital cable" HA! Only half the channels in my area are true digital on cable, and they are sub-standard (low res). I use a 50" big screen hitachi tv. Kinda old, but sweet picture still. Only the Dish Network signal has given this screen what it needs most. I'm axiously waiting for the day I can upgrade to Dish's HDTV programming, but until then what I see is very good.

Dish is the cat's meow for TV today.
