I was a former dish network customer. I am thinking of starting the service with them again. I own a 301 receiver and card ( it is about 3 yrs old). I am wondering if I sign up with dish network if I can hook up my old receiver in a different room and use it, or will I have to pay the extra room fee to get it working? I would like to get a new receiver with the dual tuner so I can get two tvs working right at the start when I start up the service again. I would like the option of using my old receiver on a third tv. I called dish and they said we could start the service up again under my wife and we will get the new customer deals that are available. I am not interested in using any type of cheater card or anything like that I only want to use the (301) receiver the way it is. If the receiver is not good for my use then why are people selling these things. I am not trying to be naive I just want to get into the loop of how this stuff works. Also are there any hidden fees on the new systems that are out there. I know they no longer give you the system it is a lease that is covered by the programming fee. I see these listings that say free 2,3,4 room deals. I want to know if it is more than the $35 or so to get the 120 channels or do I have to pay extra for the dual tuner receiver. I know there are a lot of newbie questions here but I would appreciate any help or direction. Thank You. Giff
