1996 Mitsubishi VS-5043 50" Big Screen TV - wavey lines Can't Post
My tv has sound. Picture is many wavy lines like a gyroscope. Occasionally picture comes in when tv is left on for a while, it will then stay on for long periods of time. But lately it is not coming in, just wavy lines.
Does anyone know what this is, do you have any suggestions on fixing and possible costs?

I have some experiance with a 1996 Mitsubishi big screen TV

Have you tried tapping the circuit boards with something non conductive?

The TV I have experiance with, when it was first turned on, the picture was squashed and fishbowled. After it warmed up the picture popped back to normal. I figured out that there was some loose connection inside. I was never able to solve it but I traced it down to where one of the cards connects to the board.
