60" Philips Magnavox Can't Post

An couple, I know, told me they are having a yard sale and are selling a 60" tv for $200. After work, my family and I decided to head over there to see what they had...I mainly wanted to see the tv. So I go inside the house to look at it.

I see a green haze around light colored objects on the screen. Well I walked in, they had it on TCM. So a black and white movie was showing. You could see the green/bluish haze all around. So I turn it to Encore and The Sixth Sense was on. In this one scene, the camera is on Bruce Willis and there's a window behind him. Well the light is shining in through the window, and on the screen, there's a green/bluish haze around the window and Bruce Willis's face.

So I messed with the control panel to see if the tint, contrast, or color were off but nothing was helping. Could there be something wrong with the tube? Maybe a bulb or something behind the screen panel that needs replacing/tweaking? Or is it just going to die soon?

Is that a fact? How much, do you think, this would be?

If you do the work, about $50.00 in materials. If you have it done, about $400 to $500.00.
It is an involved repair and not to be attempted unless you do a lot of research in these forums.
It requires removal of the CRT lens assemblies and readjustment of the convergence and focus.
I would read the threads relating to this before considering any attempt to do-it-yourself.
