Curved purple horizontal stripe in middle of screen	Can't Post

I just got my 7 year old Mitsubishi repaired (circuit board) and the picture now comes up fine but it has a curved purple horizontal stripe in the middle of the screen. It almost looks like someone took a purple crayon and drew a line. The stripe came up immediately when the tv was turned back on. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks.

if you hava good picture but you have thes "lines" not stripes cossing diagonaly is a matter of adjusting the screen voltage but if they are horizontal it means that your green crt is overburned right at the midle of the screen & you can do noting but replace the green crt thet will cost you parts & labor from 250 to 500 depending if is brand new (very dificult to get ) or a use one & the technician charges that is not a eassy task

Sounds like the phospher burned on the Green CRT. Would require CRT replacement if this is the case.
Expensive repair!!!
CRT=cathode ray tube=picture tube
