Had similar problem. Turns out coolant from blue crt leaked on main board. Repair cost was $700 main board cleaned, all parts checked, about 6 parts replaced including an IC.

When reinstalled service company installed a cardboard shelf over main board so that any future leaks would be absorbed by the cardboard.

service company claims that the crt's have enough coolant to last for many years with with such small slow leaks.
