Phillips 64" TV Help

I hope this is the correct place to post this topic, if not feel free to move. I have a question about our 64" Phillips tv(dont know the exact part number to tell you all, can this be found on the back of the set?). The picture on it seems to be zoomed in or not adjusted right(for lack of better terms), like when CNN or the local news is on you cant see the little bar that goes across the bottom that shows up to date/breaking news etc. The TV was worked on last year after a lightning incident. I have tried the different viewing modes on the TV and none of them help it, ive also looked in the menus to find nothing about adjusting the placement of the picture. I'm guessing this has to be done from inside the back of the TV? If this is possible, is this something that a novice can do or should I call a professional to do it? Thanks for any help.
