Pioneer TV - Defective Product - Poor Service Can't Post

I have a Pioneer Elite Pro-100 rear screen projection TV that is 6 years old. In November of '04 it just went dead. I called the nearest authorized Pioneer Service Center and told them the problem. They told me the set needed a new "power supply board." The cost for the board and the installation would be $624.34. I said "do it." To make a long, sad story short, it has been 3 months, many frustrating phone calls to the dealer and Pioneer, and 4 defective "power supply boards," and the issue is still not handled. The people at Pioneer are rude and unsympathetic. The dealer tells me he is losing money on the deal and wants to give me my money back and bail. I'm stuck with a rather expensive TV that the manufacturer can't fix! I am incredulous that this company can't fix their TV in 4 tries and has an attitude to boot.

My advice to anyone buying a TV: DON'T BUY PIONEER - IT STARTS WITH "P," RHYMES WITH "T," AND IT SPELLS TROUBLE.
