Rca 52" power problem. TV turns off on its own

I have a 52" RCA that powers on and stays on for about an hour than shuts off on its own than I can turn it back on after a few seconds. A few minutes later it will shut off again. this will keep up for a long time. Sometimes I have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes before I can turn it back on again than bang it shuts off again after a few more minutes. At times it will stay on for 15 to 30 minutes before shutting off again ...very annoying. Can someone tell me what's wrong or how to fix the problem inside the tv is clean as a whistle no bust or corrosion that I can see. Sounds like it is getting hot than shuts off maybe I am wrong I don't know.......Please someone help me out
